Mexican Consul Jesús Cano said commercial missions that bring producers and business representatives to the Rio Grande Valley provide direct access to the information needed to pursue cross-border trade while strengthening economic ties between Mexico and the United States.

Bert Ogden Auto Group officially celebrated the grand opening of BMW of Pharr on Thursday, Aug. 20, bringing together company leaders, BMW of North America representatives, City of Pharr officials, customers and employees for an evening that concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

A two-day commercial mission in Pharr brought Zacatecas business representatives together with customs, regulatory, economic development and university officials to prepare Mexican companies seeking to enter the U.S. market.

Italian singer and songwriter Matteo Bocelli will perform a special holiday concert at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Dec. 19, bringing his blend of classical training and contemporary music to the Rio Grande Valley.
