Hundreds of families across Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) attended the 15th Annual PSJA Back to School Expo held Thursday, August 6, 2026, at all six PSJA ISD high schools, taking advantage of a variety of services designed to help students and families prepare for the first day of school on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Eligible students can prepare for an in-demand career in plumbing at no cost this fall through a new Plumbing Technician Program being offered through the Center for Advanced Training and Apprenticeships (CATA) at South Texas College.

 For students, learning and opportunity do not have to end when the final bell rings. A new five-year investment in La Joya ISD students and families will extend both beyond the traditional school day, bringing additional academic support, enrichment, summer learning, and family engagement opportunities to 10 elementary campuses across the district.
