A Hidalgo County judge sentenced a McAllen couple to decades in prison during a sentencing hearing. Evelyn Chavez, 41, and Brian Chavez, 40, of McAllen, were both sentenced to serve 40 years in prison after previously being found guilty by a Hidalgo County jury of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Indecency with a Child by Contact, and Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child.
