The program is designed to provide practical leadership skills that are not typically included in academic coursework. According to ZERA Coaching, many students graduate with strong technical knowledge but limited leadership training.

“Many students graduate with strong technical knowledge but may lack leadership development,” said Hervin Antonio Hidalgo, founder of ZERA Coaching. “Our goal is to equip college students in the Rio Grande Valley with the leadership skills they need to thrive in the workplace and in their communities.”

The curriculum is based on Maxwell Leadership principles and covers communication, leadership mindset, teamwork, and influence. Students who complete the program will receive a certificate from ZERA Coaching in partnership with Maxwell Leadership.

ZERA Coaching, a leadership development organization based in the Rio Grande Valley, has worked with professionals, teams, and organizations across multiple industries. The new program extends its services to college students by offering leadership training at no cost.
