SAN JUAN – The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District (PSJA ISD) School Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Romeo Robles to serve as a temporary Member. Robles was officially sworn in during a regular School Board Meeting held Monday, April 27, 2026.
Robles brings prior experience with PSJA ISD, having served in Career and Technical Education (CTE), where he supported student pathways in areas such as agriculture and welding.

“We welcome Mr. Robles to the PSJA ISD Board of Trustees and appreciate his willingness to serve our students, staff, and community during this time,” said Superintendent Dr. Alejandro Elias. “His experience and commitment will help ensure continuity as the Board continues its important work in support of student success.”
Robles will serve in the role following the recent resignation of Trustee Diana Y. Serna and will fulfill the duties of the position in accordance with applicable law and district policy.
PSJA ISD remains committed to maintaining stability in governance and continuing its focus on serving the needs of its students and community.
