San Benito High School Announces Class of 2020 Top 10 Graduates

San Benito, Texas – The San Benito CISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nate Carman are proud to announce the Top 10 Graduates for the San Benito High School Class of 2020.

Representing the Class of 2020 are valedictorian, Michael Dylan Thomas, and salutatorian, Haley Lian Hernandez, who have shown great determination and dedication throughout their education to graduate at the very top of their class.

Equally as dedicated to their studies and deserving of this honor are each of our Top 10 graduates:

  • Haley Lian Hernandez, Salutatorian; 
  • Ayden Jay Soliz, third-ranked graduate; 
  • Katarina Lynn Guerra, fourth-ranked graduate; 
  • Angelin Starr Cruz, fifth-ranked graduate; 
  • Ariel Kristen Lopez, sixth-ranked graduate; 
  • Arturo Arratia, Jr., seventh-ranked graduate; 
  • Jayson Bryan Martinez, eighth-ranked graduate; 
  • Connie Jaqueline Martinez Chavarria, ninth-ranked graduate; and 
  • Matthew Henry Guevara, tenth-ranked graduate. 

“Congratulations to our San Benito High School Class of 2020 valedictorian, salutatorian, and each of our top ten graduates,” said Dr. Carman.  “We are so proud of the outstanding work these talented young men and women have demonstrated throughout their academic studies,” he added.

“Though we might be celebrating them a little different this year given our current COVID-19 situation, we want each of them to know that we are very proud of their accomplishment, and we would also like to congratulate their parents and families who also share in this honor,” he continued.  “They each represent the ‘Gold Standard’ excellence set forth by our district, and we are confidents that they will go on to achieve great success,” Carman added.

“Our students are the leaders of tomorrow, and we are excited to see them reach their goals and accomplishments not only at a district level but as representatives of our entire San Benito community,” stated Orlando López, San Benito CISD School Board President. “We are proud of them and cannot wait to see what they will go on to accomplish in their lives,” López added.

On behalf of the entire San Benito CISD family, we congratulate our Top 10 Graduates and wish them much success in their future endeavors!
