Drivers are reminded to be cautious in the work zone by slowing down, not tailgating, and watching out for workers.
The work scheduled next week marks the completion of Phase One of the State Highway 4 reconstruction, which consists of converting asphalt pavement to concrete. Subsequent phases will extend concrete pavement on SH 4 to SH 48.
The $21M dollar project’s new concrete pavement transforms the roadway into an overweight/oversize corridor making it more durable for heavy commercial vehicles. Improvements also include drainage enhancements.
