Mission, TX – Colleagues, friends and family of a Mission police officer celebrated his return home with a surprise welcome home parade, after he was hospitalized with coronavirus. Lt. Javier Ramon has been battling COVID-19 for more than five months, a majority of that in a San Antonio facility. 

The 27-year veteran of the force was driven past the Mission Police Department before heading home. Surrounding law enforcement agencies will joined the welcome home caravan.
