WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) will participate in the Congressional Arrival Ceremony for the Late President George H.W. Bush at 5 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. CT on Monday, December 3, 2018, in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.

“President George H.W. Bush was a true American statesman,” Congressman Gonzalez said. “It is my honor to join in the celebration of this patriot’s legacy and honor a life of public service.”

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, Congressman Gonzalez issued the following statement to commemorate the life and legacy of the 41st President of the United States:

“Today, we mourn the loss of the 41st U.S. President, a father, a patriot, and a fellow Texan. As a public servant and a decorated service member, President Bush, Sr. set a high bar for decency and civility. This morning my thoughts are with the president’s family as they remember their father and grandfather, and also with the American people as they celebrate the life of a statesman. May he soon reunite with his friends; loved ones; and his beloved wife, Barbara.”
