RGV Boys State Alumni Group Sponsors hosted, along with Weslaco Mayor Adrian Gonzalez (Honorary Sponsor), their annual “Reflections Ceremony” where Texas Boys State Delegates share their personal Reflections from their leadership program experience this summer at The University of Texas-Austin.
Over 1,200 rising high school Seniors are selected to represent their respective high schools, Alumni Group Sponsors & American Legion Commanders.
This year the RGV was proudly represented by 55 outstanding leaders; 8 Statesmen presented their Texas Boys State stories at this year’s event.
Besides the RGV Boys State Alumni Group Statesmen, the Weslaco High School & Weslaco East High School Delegates were invited to participate.
Special Thanks to U.S. Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34), Texas State Representative Armando “Mando” Martinez, (District 39) and Weslaco Mayor Adrian Gonzalez for recognizing the RGV Statesmen with official Certificates of Achievement from each office.
Honored guests included: Mario Treviño, 2019 Delegate Alum from Weslaco East High School and the Nationalist Party nominee for Governor!
