PHARR, Texas — The Pharr Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with Impulso Developments and NAI STX, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new commercial retail development at 705 W. Nolana Loop, marking another investment in the city’s continuing commercial growth.
According to the Pharr Economic Development Corporation, the project is located adjacent to Highway 69C within an established retail corridor. The development will be built next to Dollar Tree and directly across from the Monarch Apartments, providing access to a growing residential customer base and consistent daily traffic.

The project is intended to support continued commercial expansion in Pharr by bringing additional investment and business opportunities to the area.
Victor Perez, president and chief executive officer of the Pharr Economic Development Corporation, said the development reflects ongoing private-sector confidence in the city.
“This project is another exciting investment in the future of Pharr and reflects the continued confidence developers and businesses have in our community,” Perez said. “As our city continues to grow, developments like this help create new opportunities, expand services for residents, and strengthen our local economy.”
Following the ceremony, the Pharr Economic Development Corporation thanked those who attended the event, including elected officials, community partners, developers and local supporters.
In a statement, the organization said the project represents “another step forward in the continued growth of our community, bringing new opportunities, investment, and economic development to the City of Pharr.”
The event was hosted by the Pharr Economic Development Corporation in partnership with Impulso Developments and NAI STX. The organization also expressed appreciation on behalf of Perez, the Pharr EDC Board of Directors and staff to everyone who participated in the ceremony.
