EDINBURG – An eighth person has tested positive for COVID-19, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Wednesday.
Investigators with the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department have begun investigating the circumstances under which this person may have contracted this strain of coronavirus, including who the person has had recent contact.
This case looks to be travel-related. The affected patient is subject to county-issued control orders to stay in isolation at home.
