The Friends of Quinta Mazatlán (FoQM) is proud to announce that it will present Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa with The Legacy Award at this year’s Moon over Mazatlán Gala on Thursday, April 21, 2022, which will be held at Quinta Mazatlán, 300 Sunset Drive.

“We are thrilled to recognize Senator Hinojosa’s longtime support of and advocacy for educational initiatives in Texas,” said Val LaMantia, FoQM Board President.

“I’ve always championed legislation and supported funding for initiatives that help students and adults with educational and enrichment opportunities: from early education, to STEM, to college, to medical school, to a Center for Urban Ecology, and beyond,” said Senator Hinojosa.  “A good education should be the basic right of every child or person.  It is one of the best equalizers and investments we can make today for our children.”
