McALLEN, Texas – The McAllen Heritage Center is proud to celebrate history with the Royal Tea in honor of this highly valued tradition and in keeping with our mission to preserve history.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 beginning at 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the historic Old Church Winery located at 700 N. Main Street in McAllen. Individual tickets are available on a limited basis at $75.00 per person. Please call us if you are interested in becoming a 2026 Sponsor.
During this extraordinary afternoon, guests will experience sparkling champagne, savory tea fare, a variety of teas, music and elegant decor in a perfect and historical setting. A short presentation by Irma Murray, Committee member, about the history of the Royal Tea will be included.
Guests are also invited to shop the array of fabulous items featured in the 2026 silent auction. We promise you will love the high quality, lovely and unique items donated this year which will enhance the fundraising goals of the event.
Elva M. Cerda, Executive Director of the McAllen Heritage Center is excited to bring this unique event in its third year to raise needed funds towards the museum’s newest expansion project, “The Annex”. She states, “I am so thankful for the dedicated Royal Tea committee and for all the sponsors and silent auction donors that joined us to help make this event extra special once again this year.”
