Lin’s Grand Buffet to Add Nearly 100 Jobs with New McAllen Location

McALLEN, Texas — Lin’s Grand Buffet is preparing to open its second McAllen location on Friday, Aug. 28, bringing nearly 100 new jobs to the Rio Grande Valley community as the restaurant expands in the city where the company originated.

The all-you-can-eat restaurant is holding a job fair Aug. 10-15 to fill positions ahead of the opening. The company is seeking cashier/hosts, servers, food runners, dishwashers, bussers, salad preparation workers, grill cooks, sushi chefs, line cooks and other employees. The New Lin’s Grand Buffet is located at 4201 W. Expressway 83, McAllen, TX.

Walk-in interviews are being conducted daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the job fair. Applicants may also apply online through the company’s careers page.

The expansion marks a return to the company’s roots in McAllen, where Lin’s Grand Buffet began in 2002. The company now operates 17 locations across Texas, Arizona and California.

The McAllen opening also reflects the type of advancement within the company described by Lin’s Grand Buffet Regional Manager Pablo Ayar.

According to information provided by the company, Ayar began working at Lin’s 24 years ago as a server at its first location. He later became regional manager and has helped open all eight of the company’s Texas locations as well as its first restaurant in California.

Lin’s Grand Buffet offers Chinese, Japanese, American and seafood selections. The company says its restaurants focus on consistency, quality and affordability, including the use of directly sourced fresh ingredients at each location.

The restaurants are also known for spacious dining areas and family-oriented service designed to accommodate customers with different food preferences.

The new McAllen restaurant will become part of a network that has expanded across three states since the company was established more than two decades ago.
