PHARR, Texas – Hundreds of families across Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) attended the 15th Annual PSJA Back to School Expo held Thursday, August 6, 2026, at all six PSJA ISD high schools, taking advantage of a variety of services designed to help students and families prepare for the first day of school on Monday, August 24, 2026.
The free event served as a one-stop shop for families, allowing them to complete student registration, meet campus leaders, receive immunizations, purchase school uniforms, and connect directly with district departments before the start of the new school year.

Representatives from the PSJA ISD Transportation, Health Services, Athletics, Fine Arts, Counseling, Pupil Accounting, and other departments were available at all sites to answer questions and provide families with important information regarding programs, services, and opportunities available to students.
“The Back to School Expo made getting ready for the new school year so easy,” said Amanda Martinez, parent of a Henry Ford Elementary student. “Everything was so well organized, and I was able to purchase my daughter’s uniforms and complete everything she needed for school all in one place.”
Families with young learners were also able to connect with staff from the PSJA Building Blocks Academies, the district’s specialized early childhood schools serving students in Pre-K 3 through Kindergarten. Representatives provided registration assistance and information about age-appropriate instruction centered on play-based learning, exploration, and school readiness.

With the first day of school approaching, PSJA ISD continues to encourage families who still need assistance with registration or back-to-school information to visit www.psjaisd.us/back2school or call 956-354-2167.
