DALLAS – Governor Greg Abbott rang the Closing Bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in celebration of the grand opening of the headquarters of NYSE Texas.
“Texas has now been home to the most capital of any state in the United States of America, and it just makes sense that Texas is now home to capital markets right here in Dallas,” said Governor Abbott. “We are future-proofing our state to ensure that we will be a long-lasting legacy for any business that wants to operate here.”
During his remarks, the Governor honored the contributions of Texas business legends who helped shape our state into the booming economy it is today. Texas boasts the eighth-largest economy in the world, leads the nation in job creation, and consistently ranks among the best states for business.
The Governor was joined by Senator Bryan Hughes, Senator Tan Parker, Representative Angie Chen Button, Representative Morgan Meyer, NYSE President Lynn Martin, NYSE Texas President Bryan Daniel, and Intercontinental Exchange Chairman & CEO Jeff Sprecher.
NYSE Texas is a fully electronic equities exchange headquartered in Dallas as part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE). The exchange began operations in 2025 and now maintains a permanent headquarters at the historic Old Parkland campus in Dallas.
