Dr. Ted C. Jones, Ph.D. and Hidalgo County Judge Richard R. Cortez will headline the 15th Annual State of Real Estate Forum scheduled on March 8, 2019, at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. The State of Real Estate Forum is coordinated and presented by Edwards Abstract and Title Co.

Edwards Abstract and Title Co. is celebrating a special milestone as the company hosts the 15thAnnual State of Real Estate Forum. Edwards is also pleased to welcome Dr. Ted C. Jones, Senior Vice President-Chief Economist for Stewart Title Guaranty Company and Director of Investor Relations for Stewart Information Services Corporation, who will headline the Forum as the keynote speaker as he has for the past thirteen years.  Dr. Jones will provide insight and statistics on the national, state and local economic outlook, job markets and specific local real estate market analysis and various other indicators that affect the Valley’s economy. The presentation is titled, AXIOMS: An Outlook & Forecast for the Economy, Real Estate and Life.

The State of Real Estate Forum will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance located at 118 Paseo Del Prado. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast included and the program will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Many of the region’s real estate industry professionals, civic and business leaders attend the Forum annually. There is no cost to attend the Forum, however,reservations are required.

Edwards will welcome new Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez as a guest speaker. Judge Cortez was sworn in on Wednesday, January 2, 2019during a special swearing in ceremony held at the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court. “Attracting investment to Hidalgo County is a priority of my administration. Investment will not only enhance job development, but it will also improve the property tax base and the goal is to keep the tax rate from increasing. Demand for real estate is on the rise and this also raises its value and benefits everyone,” said Judge Cortez.

During the past two years, Edwards Abstract and Title Co. has been proactive in addressing the needs of those that they serve.  The addition of two specialized services has added convenience for those who choose to do business with Edwards Abstract.
