WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) recently returned from a bipartisan congressional delegation to South Korea. The delegation discussed the path forward for the complete, verifiable denuclearization of North Korea and the decommissioning of short-range and long-range ballistic missiles. Congressman Gonzalez has been an advocate for ensuring that national security remains a top priority

“Diplomacy and defense capabilities are key to addressing the challenges posed by North Korea,” Congressman Gonzalez said. “The U.S. and South Korea must continue working together to de-escalate the situation in the Korean Peninsula. Together, both nations can explore options to decommission short-range and long-range missiles in North Korea. I would like to commend the incredible U.S. and South Korean troops along the DMZ for providing a global net of security.”
