Brownsville, Texas – The Brownsville Independent School District (BISD) announces that the district will be hosting its second dose vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Veterans Memorial Early College High School located at 4550 U.S. Military Hwy 281, Brownsville, Texas 78520 beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m.

This vaccination clinic is for Brownsville ISD employees and members of the community who received their first COVID-19 vaccine during the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic held on March 12, 2021. Individuals are automatically registered to receive their second dose. 920 Moderna second-dose vaccines will be made available by Cameron County Public Health.

Brownsville ISD operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Employees who have questions, may call the district’s main line at 956.548.8000.

No walk-ins will be allowed at the vaccination clinic. Employees must present their COVID-19 Vaccine Record Card, a valid photo ID, wear a mask or facial covering, and always remain in their vehicles.

The drive-thru clinic will feature four lanes for vehicles and 12 vaccination stations. The public is strongly encouraged to download and complete the consent forms ahead of time to expedite this process. This event will be held rain or shine. This vaccination clinic will be the fourth for the district.

The district also urges residents to continue to wear a face mask, stay at least six feet apart, avoid crowds, and wash their hands frequently to protect against COVID-19. This applies even after you get vaccinated.
