DEL RIO, Texas – Del Rio Border Patrol agents separately arrested two illegal aliens, who were previously deported after being convicted of sex crimes against children.
On Sept. 6, agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station patrolling near the Rio Grande, encountered two individuals determined to be illegal aliens. Upon further investigation, one of the individuals, Johan Alexander Moncada-Narvaez, 40, a Venezuelan national, was found to be a convicted sex offender. Moncada-Narvaez was convicted in Minnesota of electronic communication describing sexual conduct with a child and engaging in prostitution with a minor.
He was deported Aug. 7 after completing his sentence. As a convicted felon, Moncada-Narvaez faces a charge of 8 USC § 1326 (reentry after deportation), which carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
On Sept. 9, agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station patrolling an area ranch, encountered two individuals determined to be illegal aliens. Upon further investigation, one of the individuals, Jose Enrique Vasquez-Nicolas, 31, a Mexican national, was determined to be a convicted sex offender. Vasquez-Nicolas was convicted in 2020 in Castro County of indecency with a child and sentenced to five years confinement.
He was deported June 28, 2026, after completing his sentence. As a convicted felon, Vasquez-Nicolas faces a charge of 8 USC § 1326 (reentry after deportation), which carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
“Child sex offenders who repeatedly cross our borders are an imminent threat to our communities.” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Anthony “Scott” Good. “U.S. Border Patrol agents are our safeguard against this menace.”
