EDINBURG, Texas – A 25-year-old man, Andrew Rodriguez, was arraigned on a charge of intoxication assault.
The victim, a 22-year-old female, remains in critical condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates that on Saturday, April 25, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Rodriguez was driving a Toyota Tacoma with the windows down, while the victim was seated in the rear left seat. He was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when he made a sharp turn onto Rutherford Avenue from Sonoma Avenue, causing the victim to be ejected from the rear left window.
Bond for Rodriguez was set at $75,000.
