PHARR, Texas – The PossAble Dream Foundation, supporting The PossAble Dream Adult High School, received an $11,000 Community Impact Grant from the United Way of South Texas to support graduation regalia and industry-based certifications for students. A small ceremony was held at The PossAble Dream’s Pharr campus Monday, May 11, 2026, to commemorate the contribution.
“We have always believed in this type of work,” said Lilly Lopez-Killelea, President of the United Way of South Texas. “We know how important it is to equip individuals with the resources they need to build a better future for themselves and their families. Our contribution will support students in obtaining their industry certifications and graduation regalia.”
During the presentation, students shared how meaningful partnerships are to The PossAble Dream community.
“The opportunity to come back to school is a dream that I had for years,” said student Claudia De La O. “I am very proud to be a role model for my children and take advantage of the opportunities available in the community. Thank you for supporting our school. You are a part of our dream.”
The PossAble Dream Adult High School is a tuition-free school that supports adults ages 18 to 50 who have not yet earned a high school diploma. Students complete high school credits while pursuing industry certificates in high-wage, in-demand fields.
