The San Juan City Commission officially canvassed the returns for the “June 8, 2019, Runoff Election for Commissioner Place 5”, with Marco “Markie” Villegas receiving 1,556 votes, or 55.12% of the total votes cast. Commissioner-Elect Marco “Markie” Villegas was sworn into office by Hidalgo County 92nd District Judge Luis Manuel Singleterry.Â
