BROWNSVILLE, Texas — The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) and the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (ECC) will host Startup Texas Pitch Fest during RGV Startup Week 2026 on Wednesday, April 29, from 5:50 to 8:00 p.m. at the eBridge Center for Business and Commercialization in Brownsville. The event is free and open to the public.
Startup Texas Pitch Fest is the culminating event of the Startup Texas Emerging Industries Accelerator, a joint initiative of BCIC and UTRGV ECC. The accelerator is an intensive program focused on scalability and commercialization for early-stage startups across high-impact sectors in the Rio Grande Valley, from healthcare and biotech to software, aerospace, green energy, advanced manufacturing, and more.
Startups in the first 2026 cohort will take the stage to pitch their businesses in front of a live audience that includes investors, mentors, and ecosystem leaders. Past accelerator graduates include Supply Pay, the Weslaco-based fintech company that in 2026 became the title sponsor of RGV Startup Week after launching out of the eBridge Center and the Startup Texas program.
Startup Texas Pitch Fest is an official event of RGV Startup Week 2026, which runs April 24 through May 2 with events hosted in Brownsville and partner cities across the Rio Grande Valley. Registration is free and provides access to Pitch Fest and the full week of programming. RSVP at rgvstartup.com.
