ROMA, Texas – Border Patrol agents arrested multiple gang members and sex offenders after entering the United States illegally.
On Thursday, agents working near Roma, Texas, arrested a Salvadoran national whose record checks revealed an arrest by the Houston Police Department for indecency with a child – sexual contact. The man received a sentence of two years confinement.
On Friday, Rio Grande City agents arrested 10 illegal aliens after they entered the United States illegally near Roma, Texas. During processing, record checks for one of the men revealed he is a member of the 18th Street Gang.
On Saturday, agents from the Rio Grande City station arrested a Salvadoran national whose record checks revealed an active warrant from Garland, Texas for aggravated sexual assault.
On Sunday, agents arrested a Honduran national whose record checks confirmed is a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang. Additionally, the man had a previous arrest in Arlington County, Virginia for assault and battery of a police officer.
