PHARR, Texas— The Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC) is proud to announce the launch of its Digital Facade Initiative, a new program designed to help local businesses improve their online visibility, strengthen their digital presence, and ensure customers can easily find accurate information about their products and services.

In today’s digital economy, a business’s online presence is just as important as its physical storefront. The Digital Facade Initiative focuses on helping businesses ensure they are Google-enabled, searchable, and accurately represented online by providing hands-on support directly at their place of business.

Through this initiative, Pharr EDC staff will conduct business-to-business visits with local companies to review their digital storefront, including their Google Business Profile, hours of operation, contact information, location details, photos, and other key information customers rely on when making purchasing decisions.

“Your digital storefront is the first impression many customers have of your business,” said Leticia Adame, Economic & Workforce Director for the Pharr Economic Development Corporation. “We want to make sure our local businesses are not only visible but also represented accurately online. A customer searching for a product or service should be able to easily find our Pharr businesses and have confidence in the information they see.”

During each visit, businesses will receive guidance and support have better online presence.

This Tech Support initiative aligns with Pharr EDC’s commitment to business retention, expansion, and creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
