PHARR, Texas – The PossAble Dream Adult High School is celebrating more than 500 adult learners now enrolled across its Pharr, Brownsville and Edcouch-Elsa locations.
Since opening in August 2025, the tuition-free public adult high school has served adults ages 18 to 50 with the opportunity to earn their high school diploma while pursuing industry certificates in high-wage, in-demand fields.
“Reaching more than 500 enrolled students in our first year is a powerful reminder of what is possible when adults are given the opportunity and support to return to school,” said Darcia Cuellar, Superintendent of The PossAble Dream Adult High School. “Every student who enrolls is taking an important step toward finishing what they started and creating new opportunities for themselves and their families.”
The PossAble Dream Adult High School is designed to support adults as they balance school, work and family responsibilities. Students may attend classes in the morning, afternoon or evening, allowing them to continue working or fulfilling other obligations while completing their education.
In addition to flexible scheduling, the school offers wraparound support services to help students stay enrolled and make progress toward graduation. Services include transportation, childcare, advising, job placement assistance and other supports that help remove barriers for adult learners.
“We want everyone to know that it is not too late to come back to school,” Cuellar said. “The PossAble Dream Adult High School is free and built to support adult learners, no matter where they are at. We invite anyone interested in earning their high school diploma and an industry certificate to connect with us.”
