Hundreds showed up in honor of U.S. Navy Veteran AN Ralph Ardith Fowler. The veteran was laid to rest March 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. A call went out after no next of kin was located for the serviceman. Mission Parks and Recreation crews set flags out leading up to the cemetery in honor of the unaccompanied veteran.
