To assist Laredo College and high school students, LC’s Financial Aid & Veterans Affairs Services Center will host Super Saturdays starting Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ft. McIntosh Campus. Students can meet with financial aid representatives at this walk-in event to begin the financial aid process, apply for a scholarship and even find jobs. All services are entirely free of charge.

The 2022-2023 FAFSA application is now open for future and current students. Any current and prospective student interested in enrolling at the #1 community college in Texas for the 2022-2023 academic year must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TAFSA). US citizens and eligible noncitizens, may apply for FAFSA. Immigrants who have graduated from a Texas high school, have a GED or are DACA recipients may apply for TAFSA.

LC will kick-off Super Saturdays with fun activities, giveaways and light refreshments while obtaining the opportunity to learn about how vital is to apply for financial aid which can pay for students’ education, will be assisted with verification and continue the process to attain federal grants. The FSA ID is critical to begin the 2022-2023 FAFSA application, which covers costs for fall 2022, Wintermester 2022, spring 2023, Maymester 2023, and summer sessions I & II 2023.
