EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, has announced the expansion of the VA Whole Health – From Service to Strength: Creative Arts and Wellness Event series. Following a successful initial run, this free program will extend into the fall with dedicated monthly sessions scheduled for July, August, September, and October 2026. All sessions will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events (ACE) Center, located at 315 W. McIntyre Street.

The VA Whole Health program offers a personalized, holistic approach to healthcare that centers on the veteran. Rather than focusing solely on medical conditions, this model asks veterans, “What matters most to you?” By shifting away from a traditional, one-size-fits-all approach, VA Whole Health empowers veterans to align their lifestyle, health choices, and well-being with their personal life goals and purpose. The program introduces valuable tools designed to support the mind, body, and spirit.

To ensure comprehensive support, this initiative connects participants directly with leading service organizations dedicated to veteran benefits and care, including the Hidalgo County Community Service Agency, the Texas Veterans Commission, and Chicanos Por La Causa.

Organizers extend their gratitude to the Edinburg Arts Foundation for its support of the participating artists, which made this creative collaboration possible.
