District 5 Run-off Candidates to Speak at Citizens League Luncheon

McAllen, TX – The two District 5 run-off candidates for McAllen City Commission will be the program at the McAllen Citizens League meeting. The Luncheon will be held Thursday, May 23 at noon at The Salvation Army Center on 23rd Street at Pecan in McAllen. 

“Both candidates, incumbent John Ingram and challenger, Victor Haddad have confirmed attendance at this meeting,” said Christopher Julian, President of the League. 

The League’s Political Forum format allows each candidate three minutes for opening comments. Then questions from League members only will be asked. After the questions, each candidate will be allowed a one-minute closing comment.  

The meeting is open to the public at no charge with lunch available for $12 for members and $15 for non-members. Membership in the league is only $10 per year. For more information on the League visit our Facebook page or website at www.mcallencitizensleague.org
