SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas — DHR Health will host an Outdoor Medicine Conference on Aug. 21 focused on responding to medical emergencies in outdoor and remote environments across the Rio Grande Valley.

The conference, organized by the DHR Health Office of Continuing Medical Education, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the South Padre Island Convention Center, 7355 Padre Boulevard. The event is free and open to the public.

Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, emergency services personnel, first responders, medical residents, and community members are invited. Eligible participants will receive continuing medical education credit.
