EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents continue to face overwhelming numbers of illegal border crossers entering through the Rio Grande Valley (RGV).

On Sunday, Border Patrol agents encountered a group of 100 illegal aliens, consisting primarily of family units and unaccompanied children, near Rio Grande City, Texas.

Similarly, that same day, Weslaco agents working near Hidalgo, Texas, encountered a group of 262 illegal aliens who readily turned themselves in.

In the past three days, the RGV Sector has apprehended over 3,500 illegal aliens traversing through the region.
