In the continuing effort to keep residents well informed and involved in their community’s growth and development, District 3 Commissioner Omar Quintanilla will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 22 at Las Palmas Community Center, 1921 N. 25th Street, starting at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will serve as an opportunity for residents to learn more about what is happening in the community and discuss their concerns, as well as give their ideas and input.

Members of the McAllen City Manager’s Office will be in attendance to answer any questions and will provide updates on current and future projects in District 3 and citywide initiatives.   Additionally, City of McAllen staff will present information on the ongoing drainage projects in the district.

Topics specific to District 3 include hike & bike trail improvements and park rehabilitation projects, traffic issues, as well as an update on drainage improvement projects in the district. Finally, McAllen 3-1-1 will give updated information on how to contact them with concerns, questions or to get information.

“I invite everyone in District 3 to come out and learn more about what the City of McAllen is doing to provide an unparalleled quality of life, as well as ongoing efforts to address issues in the district and to hear of any new concerns,” said Comm. Quintanilla.
