Brownsville, TX – While the longest government shutdown in history continues on, the Children’s Museum of Brownsville is doing its part to offer some relief to affected federal workers and their families during this difficult time.

Throughout the duration of the shutdown, the Children’s Museum of Brownsville is giving federal employees and their immediate families the opportunity to visit the museum completely free of charge. All that is required is the presentation of a federal ID card at the time of entrance to the museum. The normal fee will be waived for said employee as well as their immediate family, which includes their spouse and children.”

“We understand that there has been a lot of uncertainty for a lot of these families as of late,” commented Children’s Museum of Brownsville Executive Director Felipe Pena.  “Because of that,” he added, “we’re extending this offer to all affected federal employees in hope that perhaps a day spent with family at the museum can provide at least a little ease and peace of mind.”
