KINGSVILLE, Texas â€“ On Saturday morning, U.S. Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Javier Vega, Jr. checkpoint in Kingsville referred a Ford F450 minibus to the secondary inspection area after a Border Patrol K-9 alerted to the vehicle. During the inspection, agents discovered 10 illegal aliens from the countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, concealed inside. Agents arrested the driver and escorted all subjects into the checkpoint to be processed accordingly.

The following morning, agents at the Javier Vega, Jr. Checkpoint arrested a United States citizen after a failed attempt to smuggle 42 illegal aliens inside a horse trailer. Agents provided basic medical attention to the illegal aliens and escorted them into the checkpoint for processing.
