The Consulate of Mexico in McAllen is actively promoting the Mexican culture in the Rio Grande Valley. Cordially, we are extending the invitation to you to the book presentation “La gestación de un universo”, written by Fabián Frías (Apab’yan Tew). The author is an associate professor at the Maya Kaqchikel University; he proudly shares his ancestral Mayan traditions, also he is an interpreter of the Mayan calendar, midwife and spiritual guide.

This book describes the Mayan science of pregnancy and birth. Frías brings years of knowledge, transmitted to him by his grandparents, and ancestral methods based on observation of expectancy mothers and their babies at the moment of giving birth. Explores the 260 days of the Mayan calendar, and explains how we all are in some way connected to them. He is expressed in a very easy and understandable way for the audience, this allows us to better interpret who we are from the moment of conception, growth, and destiny, through the reading and interpretation of the nawales or spirits of the days. This work reveals some of the mysteries of the gestation of the human being and takes us through the sacred traditions of the wonderful Mayan world.
