Pharr, TX – The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley is committed to feeding families facing food insecurity in the RGV and is currently feeding up to 76,079 people weekly through its network of 275 partner agencies.

The Food Bank RGV currently hosts a drive-thru emergency pantry distribution on-site each month as well as weekly pop-up distributions in underserved community sites across Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties. To continue to meet the ever-growing needs of the community, the food bank is in dire need of volunteers daily, for various assignments including making emergency food bags, sorting donations, packing food boxes for seniors, working on the community garden, and working at distributions.

The Food Bank RGV has various volunteer shifts available for individuals or groups. For more information on volunteering, contact Olivia Lucio at 956-904-4535 or visit serve.foodbankrgv.com.
