The Beavers hit eight of their first 15 shots and led 22-20 at the end of the first quarter. Belosevic opened the second quarter with a three, however, and the Vaqueros were off to the races, going on an 18-0 run to take the lead for good. During that run, the Vaqueros grabbed seven steals while hitting five baskets, including a trio of three-pointers, and five free throws. The Vaqueros held the Beavers off the board for about six minutes and without a basket for about eight minutes.

Delsman hit back-to-back threes to end the Vaqueros’ run, but Beloservic scored the final seven points of the quarter on a layup, a three and two free throws to put the Vaqueros up 45-28.

The Vaqueros pushed their lead past 19 for the first time at the end of the third quarter when Jones made a layup and junior Saint Joseph alum Valeria Tapia knocked down a buzzer-beating three to make the score 64-41.
