Two athletes sign to continue playing at collegiate level

Lady Bear Softball Athlete signs with McMurry University

 PSJA Early College HS Senior Madison Lopez signed a letter of intent to play with McMurry University to continue her softball career. She is part of the top 15% of her class and will be graduating with 57 college hours. 

A multi-sport player, she has also excelled in volleyball during her tenure at PSJA Bears, but she has played softball since she was 8 years old. Traveling to many states for competition including Florida, Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina and Oklahoma.

She has received multiple awards in High School (31-6A 2nd team All district centerfield award 2019, Best Outfielder Award 2019, 31-6A 1st Team All district 3rd Baseman Award 2021, Defensive player award, 2021).  

Due to this level of competition, she received multiple offers to play softball at a higher level and have decided to play for McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. 

She plans to major in Nursing.

Bear Football Athlete signs with UTRGV PSJA Early College High School Senior Viggo Lopez signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career with UTRGV.

He plans to pursue a career in Health Sciences while at UTRGV, specializing in sports training, so he can support and train future athletes.
