PHARR, TX – The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley today announced a partnership with Wonderful Citrus through the company’s Project Wonderful volunteer grant program that facilitates volunteering and philanthropic activity from Wonderful’s South Texas employees.

Wonderful Citrus will provide $36,000 to support the Food Bank of the RGV’s mission while its employees continue to volunteer and participate at Food Bank RGV fundraisers and special events. This grant will directly fund the Food Bank RGV’S School Tools, Operation Kid Pack, and senior programs that currently lack a sustained source of monies.

“Our partnership with Wonderful Citrus will help support our hunger relief and education initiatives throughout South Texas,” said Libby Salinas, Chief Program Officer of the Food Bank RGV. “We are beyond grateful for this opportunity. Support from companies like Wonderful allows us to continue to impact the lives of thousands of vulnerable children, families, and individuals in the Rio Grande Valley.”
