South Texas College to Host 9/11 Ceremonies in Campuses Across the Valley

McAllen, Texas – The community is invited to join South Texas College as it honors first responders as well as the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

The theme for this year’s ceremony will be “Honor and Respect the Blue Line”.

STC will be holding ceremonies at five campuses on Tuesday, Sept. 11.  In McAllen, the Pecan Campus will hold its ceremony at 9 a.m. by the flagpoles near Building K.

The Technology Campus event will take place by the flagpoles near Building B at 11 a.m., and the Nursing and Allied Health Campus will hold its ceremony near the flagpoles at 1 p.m.

The Mid-Valley campus will hold its ceremony by the North Academic Building G at 9 a.m. STC’s Starr County campus will conduct its remembrance ceremony near its South Academic Building E at 9:30 a.m.

Pecan Campus: 9 a.m. by the flag poles near Building K.
Technology Campus:  Building B at 11 a.m.
Nursing and Allied Health Campus near the flag poles at 1 p.m.
Mid-Valley Campus: North Academic Building G at 9 a.m.
Starr County Campus: South Academic Building E at 9:30 a.m.

The ceremony is open to the public. Parking passes for media who are interested in attending the event are available upon request.
