The 2021 McAllen Holiday Parade presented by H-E-B and powered by Bert Ogden & Fiesta Dealerships was a spectacular event once again. Thousands of people from across The Valley were in attendance to witness this annual holiday event. It was a perfect night, topped off by several local and national celebrities. Mario Lopez and Julian Gil served as co-hosts for the parade. McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos, several other City officials and well-known local personalities were also in attendance.

The McAllen Holiday Parade is the largest illuminated holiday and helium balloon parade in Texas using 15 miles of rope light, which generates 1,875,000 lumens of light to properly illuminate the parade and 44,500 cubic feet of helium to keep those giant balloons afloat and is powered by 12,000 horsepower by over 50 trucks from Bert Ogden & Fiesta Dealerships.

The lead step-off band for this year’s McAllen Holiday Parade was the U.S. Air Force Parade Element Honor Guard and Drill Team, the premier U.S. military marching and drill team element, adding precision from a unit that performs in parades and celebrations around the world. A line-up of 13 of the region’s top high school marching bands from McAllen, Donna, Edinburg, Donna, La Joya, Pharr, and Santa Rosa were “Rockin’ Around the South Pole” as they performed for the crowds.

Keeping with tradition for the McAllen Holiday Parade, members of the Dallas Cowboys franchise were invited to lead the parade. Joining the list of Dallas Cowboys players who appeared at the this year were cornerback Trevon Diggs, #7; wide receiver Michael Gallup #13; and wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, Jr. #1.

The Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame Trailer was available to the public at Christmas in the Park.  Attendees were able to see the amazing memorabilia, take pictures and see replicas of the Dallas Cowboys locker room, Super Bowl trophies and more. No McAllen Holiday Parade would be complete without the special appearance of the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Rowdy, the Dallas Cowboys mascot as well.

We have assembled over a thousand photos of the parade and spectators that you can view and download free of charge at the following website: BuyPhotoStore.com
