(McAllen, TX) The McAllen Public Utility is inviting the entire community to its 7th Annual Night Out on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the International Museum of Art Science (IMAS), 1900 West Nolana Avenue, to learn more about the City’s water source, the process to deliver water to every resident in the area, conservation methods and other interesting and fun facts about water. This free family-friend event will have food, fun, raffles, and entertainment!

“There will be a lot of information given regarding all the divisions within the McAllen Public Utility,” said Mark Vega, General Manager, McAllen Public Utility.  “For example, did you know that there are 13 departments that make McAllen Public Utility? We encourage everyone to join us and bring their questions regarding the water and sewer services we provide.  We will happily assist and answer all questions and hopefully, educate and entertain both children and adults regarding the MPU.”

The McAllen Public Utility is one of only three utilities in the valley to host a Night Out that is educational and fun, with activities designed to engage the community regarding their water and wastewater system.  The main point of the annual MPU Night Out is to educate citizens and make them familiar with all utility departments.  Aside from a great learning experience for both adults and children, the MPU Night Out will feature a chance to win door prizes for all.
