Washington, DC – The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and Univision News will host a virtual town hall with U.S. Senators to discuss the economic crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic in Latino and minority communities. Hispanic Americans are significantly more likely to have experienced pay cuts and job losses stemming from the pandemic compared to other demographic groups, and the CDC has reported that current data suggest a disproportionate burden of illness and death among racial and ethnic minority groups.

Univision News Anchor Jorge Ramos will moderate the town hall with event co-hosts Domingo Garcia, LULAC National President and Sindy Benavides, LULAC CEO. They will be joined by distinguished guests Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Kamala Harris (D-CA), Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
