PHARR, Texas — The Leadership Day Conference will return to Pharr this fall, bringing professionals, college students, entrepreneurs, and community leaders together for a half-day program focused on leadership development, communication, and building connections across the Rio Grande Valley.
Leadership Day Conference 2026, hosted by ZERA Coaching and powered by the City of Pharr, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30, at Pharr ONE.
The conference will feature speakers, leadership panels, interactive activities, and networking opportunities designed to give participants practical opportunities to develop their leadership abilities while connecting with others from throughout the region.
These programs target a broad audience rather than limiting leadership development to executives or established business professionals. Participants have included students, entrepreneurs, professionals, educators and community members interested in strengthening their ability to lead.
ZERA Coaching has continued that emphasis on developing emerging leaders in 2026.
Earlier this year, the Rio Grande Valley-based leadership development organization announced a free five-week Leadership Development Certificate Program for full-time college students in the region. The program was designed to complement students’ academic preparation with workplace leadership skills in areas including communication, teamwork, leadership mindset, and influence.
Hervin Antonio Hidalgo, founder of ZERA Coaching, said when that initiative was announced that students can enter the workforce with strong technical preparation while still needing opportunities to develop leadership abilities.
“Our goal is to equip college students in the Rio Grande Valley with the leadership skills they need to thrive in the workplace and in their communities,” Hidalgo said at the time.
The return of Leadership Day to Pharr expands that effort by placing college students alongside professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders in an environment centered on learning and interaction.
The 2026 conference is expected to continue the practical format established through previous Leadership Day events, while emphasizing communication, leadership development and connections among participants.
