(Oct. 30, 2015) MCALLEN, Texas – IBC Bank-McAllen Senior Vice President of Marketing Dora Brown and her husband Joe were recognized as Easter Seals Rio Grande Valley’s 2015 Humanitarian Honorees. The Humanitarian Honoree title is given annually to a recipient who shows continuous dedication to both Easter Seals RGV and McAllen community improvement.

“The Browns have been selected as this year’s Humanitarian Honorees because they go beyond their call around the business of banking,” said Easter Seals RGV Executive Director Patricia Rosenlund. “They’ve continually supported and promoted our events and services while championing our mission of enabling children and adults with disabilities to reach their highest level of independence.”

Joe and Dora Brown have worked with the Easter Seals RGV for 18 years. Joe lends his auctioneering talents for annual events, including the Perfect Pair and ostrich egg auction. Dora provides her network outside of IBC Bank-McAllen’s long-standing sponsorship by acting as the chair for fundraisers, supporting telethons and recommending Easter Seals RGV programs and services to clients in need.

“The work Easter Seals RGV achieves to help those living with disabilities has been exceptional,” said IBC Bank-McAllen Senior Vice President of Marketing Dora Brown. “My husband and I are grateful for this recognition, but it’s truly a privilege to be part of the organization.”

Easter Seals is a national nonprofit provider of health and human services. Established in 1952, its Rio Grande Valley chapter offers quality programs and services to support children and adults living with disabilities.
