Texas Border Business
Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting our Soldiers and Airmen at Fort Irwin, Creech Air Force Base and Nellis Air Force Base. The 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division successfully completed a rotation at the National Training Center, where I was able to observe day twelve of the twenty-one-day exercise and the first day of live fire.
At Creech Air Force Base, I met the Airmen responsible for flying our MQ-9 Reapers in combat operations worldwide. I also had the opportunity to fly in the MQ-9 simulator myself. At Nellis Air Force Base, I received an overview of the Air Force Major Commands and the Red Flag exercise that ensures our Airmen are prepared to compete and win against near-peer adversaries.
