EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg is working on plans for a formal swearing-in of Councilman-elect Gerardo “Gerry” Lozano on July 16, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Edinburg City Hall, 415 W. University Dr.

The City of Edinburg acknowledges the recent ruling by the 13th Court of Appeals, which upholds the lower court’s decision declaring Mr. Lozano the winner of the Edinburg City Council Place 4 seat. The City has been advised that both parties have come to an agreement, and Councilman David White will not appeal the decision.

As always, the City of Edinburg remains committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring a smooth transition in service to our community.
